Elon Musk just tweeted they are currently scouting locations for the Cybertruck Gigafactory. He mentions in will be central USA. Does that mean Texas based on a previous tweet from him? Tesla’s original plan was to start Cybertruck production for deliveries beginning in late 2021. It will be a tight turn around. They need to secure property, build a factory, and get everything up and running for manufacturing.

New Tesla Full Self Driving Features This Month?

Elon Musk posted a reply to Everyday Astronaut a couple days ago about how Tesla is currently tracking to release more Full Self Driving features later this month. Could we see self parking? More FSD visualizations? Enhancements with stoplights and stop signs? Cool, we’re tracking to release more FSD features later this month — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 4, 2020

Dreamcase – Camp in Your Car

If you’re looking to camp in your car and looking for a solution that might be a bit more comfortable and compact than others, Dreamcase might be worth checking out.  They have offer their Dreamcase for many different vehicle manufacturers from Audi to Tesla, and several in between.  This is a video showcasing Dreamcase in a Tesla Model 3.  With Tesla recently releasing their Camp Mode feature through another free, over-the-air update, this could be the perfect compliment for making your car camping experience a bit more comfortable.  These are a bit on the higher price tag scale in my opinion, but depending on your budget might be just what you’re looking for.

The Plaid power-train for Tesla is expected to be available later this year on the Model S and possibly the Model X. Back in June of 2018 however, the Lovecars YouTube channel posted this video of this heavily modified P100DL Model S.

DIY Cybertruck – Gas Powered

When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck in November 2019, they expected mixed reactions. It has been described as anything from polarizing to ugly. It’s very unlikely any other major automotive manufacturer would have been daring enough to build something so different. One thing is for sure, it is definitely grabbing attention. It’s also inspiring some fabricators to build their own version of the Cybertruck!

Rivian Tank Turn – Introducing the 360 Degree Spin!

Rivian shows off their “tank turn” capability on their all-electric R1T pickup truck. The quadmotor system allows independent control of each wheel. Very similar to a tank that can put one set of tracks into reverse, the other set forward, to help control turning, the Rivian R1T is able to perform a true on a dime turn, although not sure how much control you have with it or if part of it is based on a loose surface.
