The Ultimate Guide to the Tesla Cybertruck J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder

Tesla Cybertruck J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder Review and Installation

If you’re a proud owner of the Tesla Cybertruck, you already appreciate the fusion of futuristic design and cutting-edge technology that it embodies. But even the most advanced vehicle can benefit from a few thoughtful accessories, especially when it comes to the practicality of everyday use. Enter the Tesla Cybertruck J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder – a must-have accessory that seamlessly integrates into your Cybertruck to enhance your charging convenience. What is the J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder? The J1772 adapter is a crucial component for Tesla owners who want to charge their vehicles at public charging stations that use the J1772 connector, which is common across many non-Tesla electric vehicle charging points. While the adapter itself is indispensable, storing it conveniently can be a bit of a challenge. That’s where the official Tesla J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder comes in. This holder is specifically designed to fit into the door pocket of the driver’s side door of the Cybertruck. It provides a dedicated space for the adapter, ensuring it’s always within easy reach but never in the way. Say goodbye to the days of having your adapter rolling around in the center console or occupying one of your cupholders. Why You Need the J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder 1. Convenient Access When you need to charge your Cybertruck at a non-Tesla charging station, time is often of the essence. The door dock holder ensures that your J1772 adapter is always within arm’s reach, allowing for quick and easy access without having to rummage through your vehicle. 2. Organized Storage Keeping your Cybertruck neat and tidy is a lot easier with the door dock holder. It eliminates the clutter that can accumulate in the center console or cupholders, providing a dedicated spot for your adapter. Having it’s own dedicated spot will help keep you organized. 3. Protection for Your Adapter The J1772 adapter is a valuable piece of equipment. By storing it in the dedicated door dock holder, you protect it from potential damage that can occur when it’s loosely stored with other items. The holder ensures the adapter remains secure and intact, ready for use whenever you need it. 4. Enhanced Aesthetic The door dock holder is designed to complement the interior of your Cybertruck. It fits perfectly into the door pocket, maintaining the vehicle’s streamlined look. This thoughtful integration ensures that functionality doesn’t come at the cost of aesthetics. Cybertruck Door Dock Unboxing This should be a fairly new product, yet like some of the other products I’ve ordered from Tesla, the packaging looks as though it’s been stored in a warehouse for over a decade. Perhaps it’s a more environmentally friendly packaging that tends to quickly fade. I’m sure some 3D printed options will start popping up, but the Cybertruck J1772 adapter door dock from Tesla is made from what I believe is an injection molded ABS plastic. Installation and Usage Installing the J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder is a breeze. Here’s a quick guide to get you started: 1: Open Your Door: Open the driver’s side door of your Cybertruck and locate the door pocket where the holder will be installed. 2. Orientation: It did take me a bit to figure out exactly where and in which direction the holder was supposed to be installed. The picture on Tesla’s website didn’t give a great perspective. This is the proper orientation for your J1772 adapter holder, the taller side with the Tesla logo should be facing towards you (and the inside of the Cybertruck cab. For comparison, this is the incorrect orientation. This piece is angled and the shorter side should be facing the outside of the vehicle. 3. Insert the Holder: Slide the J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder into the door pocket. The design is tailored to fit snugly, ensuring it stays in place even during drives. 4. Store the Adapter: Place your J1772 adapter into the holder. The fit is secure, preventing the adapter from moving around or falling out. Once installed, you’ll find that accessing your adapter is as simple as reaching to the side while seated in the driver’s seat. The ergonomic placement allows for effortless retrieval and storage. Conclusion The official Tesla Cybertruck J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder is more than just an accessory – it’s a solution to a common problem faced by electric vehicle owners. By providing a dedicated, easily accessible storage space for your adapter, it enhances the practicality and convenience of your Cybertruck. Whether you’re an everyday commuter or a road trip enthusiast, this holder ensures that you’re always ready for a charge, without compromising on the cleanliness or aesthetics of your vehicle’s interior. Investing in the J1772 Adapter Door Dock Holder is a small step that can make a big difference in your Tesla ownership experience. It’s one of those thoughtful additions that reflects the innovative spirit of Tesla, making your journey smoother, more organized, and ultimately more enjoyable. Unveiling the Future: The Production Tesla Cybertruck

In a world where innovation is king, Tesla has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the automotive industry. With a vision that stretches far beyond the conventional, Tesla’s latest unveiling took the automotive world by storm – the Cybertruck. The futuristic, angular beast of a vehicle promised to defy norms and redefine what it means to drive an electric car. After some delays and just over 4 years after the initial unveiling, Tesla’s Cybertruck Delivery Event was finally scheduled for November 30th, 2023. Over the last several weeks leading up the delivery event, more and more “Release Candidate” Cybertruck’s had been spotted on the streets and highways, even off-roading trails. On various social media platforms, news began to circulate that Cybertruck’s were on their way to showrooms. On November 23rd, I saw a post on X that the Cybertruck was expected to be on display at their Bellevue Square Mall showroom in Bellevue, WA the following day which happened to be Black Friday. We headed down to see if it was in fact on display, and we weren’t disappointed! What Do People Think of the Tesla Cybertruck? People seem to remain divided on two opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to the Cybertruck. People either love it’s bold design or absolutely hate it. There seems to be no middle ground. What Are People Saying About the Cybertruck? Being a Black Friday at a shopping mall, there were already large numbers of people shopping, but also checking out the Tesla Showroom, and with a large crowd constantly around the Cybertruck. I heard several comments from people such as: It looks like a tank! That’s absolutely insane looking! All in all the comments I heard from people seeing it for the first time were overwhelmingly positive. I do have some friends who haven’t seen it in person who feel quite differently. One who is an engineer said: Sorry, worst truck design ever. Cybertruck: Building the World’s Toughest Truck With the Cybertruck, Tesla set out to break the norm. They certainly did just that. One of their goals was to build the toughest truck available. The cold rolled 30x stainless steel body panels certainly help to achieve just that. I snapped this sign Tesla had at the showroom in front of the Cybertruck. Production Cybertruck Versus Previous Prototypes The production Cybertruck has certainly gone through some changes. Most notably it appears there will no longer be a sail pillar storage area. This was a feature that was not officially mentioned during the unveil, but there was a slide during the presentation showcasing it. Mirrors were also added later in various prototype builds. I was not looking forward to this at all, I thought the original looked much cleaner. They have however made changes and the production mirrors (in my opinion) don’t look as bad as some of the earlier prototypes. While the tonneau cover was closed at the showroom, recent photos and videos of the release candidate Cybertruck’s reveal the truck bed will likely be lined and no longer off the t-bolt mount rails along the floor. More Photos of the Cybertruck Here’s a couple more pictures I took of the Cybertruck. Here’s a closeup of the wheel and tire. This is a shot of the rear marker light and an interesting angle at the bottom of the bed sides. I assume the near 45 degree cut was to eliminate the sharpness of the corner edge. Conclusion The Cybertruck was barricaded off while we were at the showroom, so we weren’t able to get beyond the barrier or look inside the vehicle. One person tried touching the stainless steel body and was told by a Tesla employee not too. It remains to be see how the stainless steel holds up against finger prints and overall weathering. The Cybertruck is certainly different and I do find the stainless steel panel durability to be quite appealing. It won’t be too much longer before the official delivery event when we should learn more specifics including range, options, and pricing. It’s already rumored the price will be much higher than what was announced in 2019. Expect more articles on the Cybertruck to come soon.
