Tesla advanced Summon ready in ~6 weeks! Just an over-the-air software upgrade, so will work on all cars made in past 2 years (Autopilot hardware V2+).

What It Means
The Tesla Advanced Summon feature will be a big step in achieving Full Self Driving. For the vehicles to be able to take you from point A to point B, they’re going to have to be able to navigate through parking lots as well.
There has been discussion that Tesla’s will be able to park themselves and read various signs such as reserved parking. This includes no parking zones. While this will be a huge step, there’s still questions around how well it will perform.
At least in my opinion, it seems they have a long ways to go before full self driving can be achieved. They could, however, have quite a few more capabilities worked out that aren’t currently available to the public. It will be interesting to see how this update performs once it rolls out.
